Middle of the week-Goa calling- Ford Ecosport Media drive
I'm in for yet another automotive delight. Getting to go to Goa during middle of the week and an opportunity to drive soon to be launched Ford Ecosport compact SUV, thanks to invite from Ford India.
As much as I thank Ford for inviting me to Goa to attend ecosport media drive, I thank my superiors at work for allowing me to take a mid week break to attend this event. Without their support I wouldn't have managed to attend the event.
Ford is conducting a media drive in Goa for select media professionals. The event has started about a week ago and will be concluding this week. Besides getting to know ecosport upclose and experience its drive first hand, I'll also get a chance to interact with Ford officials.
Ecosport has been a much awaited compact SUV. Ever since its display at last year's auto expo in Delhi, everyone are eagerly awaiting for its launch. After some delay, Ford is now all set to launch Ecosport next month.
Ecosport will be available in 3 engine options- the newly developed 1 litre ecoboost petrol engine that delivers 100 PS, the 1.5 litre petrol engine from Fiesta and 1.5 litre diesel engine. It is a 5 seater competing for a decent share in the now famous Compact SUV segment. Ecosport has to grab its share from Renault Duster, Mahindra Quanto, Maruti Ertiga among others. Pricing of ecosport remains a suspense and will be known only during launch.
Feels good to be one of the first few to drive ford Ecosport. Standby while I experience it and share the details.
