Cloud forest dome at Gardens by the bay

Cloud Forest is the second dome in Gardens by the Bay. It is smaller in area than flower garden but taller. As soon as you enter, you will be mesmerized by a 35 meter tall waterfall. Then we walk towards an elevator that takes us to top of a 7 level structure, from where we can walk down on the walkways. Wide range of fauna found in tropical mountains.

The top most level is called 'Lost world', followed by Cloud Walk, The cavern, Crystal Mountains, Treetop walk, Earth check, +5 degrees and secret garden.

Cloud forest dome is 58 meters tall and is made of 2577 glass panels. Approx temperature inside is 23-25 degree centigrade.

Mist formation is another attraction inside Cloud Forest. At pre-defined time intervals (10 AM, 12 Noon, 2PM, 4PM, 6 PM and 8PM) mist is released into dome through special nozzles hidden all over. That experience of getting covered with mist is very nice- akin to early morning hike to a hill top during monsoon. Mist lasts for a few minutes before it dissipates.

Plus five degrees...
What would happen if earth's temperature raises by Five degrees? At the basement of Cloud Forest, a documentary explains the impact of climate change- for every degree or so rise, corresponding impact on mother earth is explained with great visuals and illustration.
Do check gardens by the bay for possible maintenance schedules before your visit.
