I recently signed up for Zest. It has gone the same way as Club Mahindra, with no reservations available anywhere (I have Verve membership).

Not recommended.

My concern with timeshare, Zest, CM or otherwise, is that there has to be a mechanism wherein every member should get his money's worth. Else it is like gambling.

You need not feel helpless, there must be some clause in membership that you can return it within 10 days of purchase. I know it is there with Club Mahindra membership.

Even if this clause is not there you can insist on canceling your membership.

About if CM members are using Zest resorts or not, I think it is non issue as main issue is if an organization

Out of six yearly vacation days, a member can only one weekend break. It means if you have only taken Friday or Saturday night break now you can not book your next break which include either Friday or Saturday night.
