Thanx Shrinidhi. We were exploring these options for a rental car from Bangalore for 5 days, cheapest is Budget, working out at approx Rs.12000 (ford fiesta). I think we would rather go for a taxi(innova) which would probably cost around Rs.14000

Looks like the fort is in the verge of perils thought ASI has taken it over. Looking at the photos gives a hint that the fort is not so neatly maintained. Anyways.. would plan to visit this plan sometime soon as the trip to pondy is on the cards :)
