Launching a photo blog

I’ve decided to launch a photo blog and would be looking for your support and encouragement as usual.

The URL is:
http://photos.enidhi.net
The site is already up and running, with few posts containing some pretty good (so I think) photos. Have a look, I assure you, you won’t be disappointed. Already available posts are: “Cute Squirrels of Agra Fort”, Assembled vehicles of North India, Photos of Agra Fort, photos of our pet cat and photos of Kondapur weekly bazaar. (the last 2 have been moved from this blog) As I’m sitting on hundreds of photos, I aim to spend 10-15 minutes and publish new photos everyday (if not possible, new photos every alternate day guaranteed)

Even before the formal launch of my blog, few readers, Ranjana, Sujata and UTP have written their comments already at this new blog. Probably they saw it through my blogger profile. Thanks to them.

Please consider linking to this blog. I’ll be happy to reciprocate.

The logic and motive behind a new blog:

  • I’ve been clicking too many photos of late-hundreds of them. Though as much as 50% of those clicks are eventually discarded, few are really good and will be worth sharing. Felt a dedicated blog would be of more value.
  • In near past I did dedicate some posts to photos in this blog. Most of the other cases I published slideshows. But the response was not encouraging-maybe it’s not a good idea to have a jack of all blog. Let me move photos elsewhere…
  • I don’t want to flood this main blog with photos. As I try to restrict the number of posts to max 15 per month, stuffing too much photos may seem odd and may dilute the quality of the blog.
  • I don’t want to lose traffic to flikr and other photo hosting sites. Also would like a better control over my photos. Blog seems best.
  • Maintaining a photo blog is relatively easy. Publishing a new post takes only few seconds to a minute of two, if internet connection is good. No time spent on typing long posts. Someone rightly said, a picture is worth thousand words.
  • Those readers who don’t have time/interest in reading my regular blog posts can subscribe to this photo blog and visit once in a while to have a look at some new and refreshing photos.
My other initiatives-Moneytalk India finance forum and Ad Critics blog aren’t going great, but not that bad either.

Chennai-Mysore by Self Drive-Dating Skoda Octavia

“Indulge” is the one word to explain what I did for 72 hours starting June 5 2008 midnight till June 8th 2008 midnight. I took a Skoda Octavia on self drive from Hertz Chennai and drove all the way to Bangalore-Mysore and Back, totaling over 1300 kms in 3 days. This post is an experience account of this excursion.

Most of my friends and relatives know that I love driving. Beg/borrow/steal I try to get my hands behind wheels at every available opportunity. Many have handed over their keys to me hesitantly while few have said polite but firm NO when asked if I can drive their car a bit. Have driven several vehicles so far, such as WagonR, Mahindra Utility and Pickup, Accent, Esteem, Indica and Tavera, totaling to few thousand kms. [Details of me driving a tractor in this post, video of me driving Tavera here] But all these drives were for small stretches each time, not long drives extending hundreds of kms to quench me. I haven’t saved enough to buy a luxury car yet (maybe I can buy one on loan but I am not sure if I will enjoy owning a car as much I do driving it) but fortunately I am in a position to afford (once in a while) the luxury of renting a car for few days. Minimum age for self drive was 25 years sometime back but recently Hertz has brought it down to 23 years, obviously to target young executives. This made me eligible for self drive.

When a Mysore visit was being contemplated I decided to use this opportunity to indulge in what I always wanted to do-long drive in a sporty vehicle. I wanted to rent a TATA Safari but Hertz said they don’t have Safari on Self Drive. (For the uninitiated, Self Drive is a rental scheme where you can take a vehicle from car rental company without a driver. You drive and take care of the car for the duration you rent it) Dream brands like Mercedez were pretty expensive (may be next time) so I decided to settle for a Czech beauty named Skoda Octavia, which I felt sporty enough (A beast of 1.9 liter engine within with 170 kmph max speed). Got a booking confirmation from Hertz.

I wasn’t sure if any of my friends would join me in this drive (Reasons: 1. They do fear for their lives, 2. Departure was on Thursday night so anyone joining me were required to apply leave on Friday, 3. The mail I had sent was a bit formal-demanding high punctuality) but to my surprise many people showed interest. All 5 seats were full for Chennai Bangalore sector and I had to deny seats to two people who wanted to join. For Bangalore-Mysore sector there were 2 passengers (Chandrakanth & Nagaraj- If I had shouted Mysore-Mysore in Kalasipalya market I would have got some passengers and coffee money too: LOL). For Mysore local site seeing I had my family members and relatives for company and for return journey (It was a day journey-most of my passengers preferred to spend time with family during the day and start by night) I had only one passenger-Nagaraj.
Passengers for Chennai Bangalore sector!
Passengers for Chennai-Bangalore sector
Made adequate preparations for the journey- A first aid kit, a print out with name and contact details of hospitals in Vellore, Hosur, Bangalore, Madya and Mysore, pre boarding safety instructions to passengers etc. But the 3 days journey ended smoothly without even a minor incident. I was anticipating problems like road blocks etc-because of fuel price hike and fertilizer shortage related agitations. But was lucky not to face any.

Got my hands on the Skoda at around 2330 hours on 5th June. To my disappointment, the car was several years old model and had age old cassette player, except front left, remaining 3 tyres hardly had any threads on them. Natural with its age, it also had several minor dents and scratches. Took the delivery, reached home and when I wanted to take a reverse I was in for a surprise. All the cars I had driven so far had reverse gear on extreme right, below 5th gear, but in Skoda this was different-on the extreme left, adjacent to first gear. I could not move the vehicle backward-called the Hertz driver and he told that I need to push the lever down and then move to position. Not sure why Skoda has this crazy position for reverse gear-very tough to identify if the vehicle is in 1st gear or reverse, unless you experience the vehicle moving. Loaded my luggage and picked up my co passengers. Removed my shoes and shifted to chappal, as I feel more confident and comfortable when I can feel the pedals with my legs and it was nearly 0100 hours when we left Chennai city limits.
Where is Nitrous booster!
Where is Nitrous booster?

I had covered Chennai Bangalore on bike some 2 years ago and had taken some 7 hours to reach Bangalore. This time in a car, I had benchmarks to exceed. Night driving was new to me but was fun. Making way through slow moving trucks soon we hit the relatively empty highway. Had slept for few hours previous evening to prepare myself for an all night drive. Chennai Bangalore road is superb (Via Vellore and Hosur) and driving was real fun. Wish I had nitrous boosters! Some stretches of the road had self reflecting navigation lights-which made driving easy. The headlamp was just adequate, though I wished they were slightly more powerful. Lack of full visibility forced me to stay within 150 kmph. Nearly 150 Rs was spent on 4 toll gates that exist between Chennai and Bangalore. With 2 minor breaks and one major break in Hosur, we reached Bangalore city (Basavanagudi) by 6 AM. 2 of my passengers (Sudhir and Krishna Shastry)) got down in Bangalore and soon we were on Bangalore-Mysore Express corridor. We stopped at Kamat Lokaruchi for a refreshment and were in Mysore (Saraswatipuram) by 9 AM.
Driving Skoda by Green country side!
Driving by green country side

My family and relatives were taken by kind of surprise when I told I came driving all the way. 550 kms in 8 hours. After refreshments plans for next 3 days were drafted. We had seen Mysore local tourist places-palace, KRS, Chamundi Hills etc, so this time focus was on tourist places on the outskirts of Mysore. We visited Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Srirangapatna, Shivanasamudra, Talakkad and Somanatheshwara Temple and the Infosys Campus. Information about these places already exists on internet, so not planning separate post on each of these. (To be honest, we did a lot of searching on internet about these places but the info was bare basic. For all practical information (what is the distance between two places, which road to take, is the road good etc) we had to stop and ask locals)

Taking a vehicle on self drive has its own pros and cons, which warrants a separate post. I enjoyed being undisputed owner of that car for 3 days. Could perfect my skills in every aspect of driving-city and highway, day and night, good and bad roads, parking, reversing and more. Two wheelers and autos were the most dreaded things during my drive, because of their tendency to make unpredictable movements. Had to ask Nagaraju to keep an eye on vehicles coming on left side for any possible abrupt movements. To all those maniac drivers of 2 and 3 wheelers- if you’re alive still it is not because you drive great-it is because we, the four and six wheeler drivers are being considerate enough to accommodate your rash and abrupt movements on the road.

3 days went off in a flash. Wish the journey lasted little longer…

All images of the trip are available as slideshow below. Most of the photos are taken by Nagaraj. Some personal photos have not been disclosed.

About the car: Except that engine was powerful, didn’t find any appreciable difference in this car w.r.t interiors and suspension, compared to other cars I have driven, say WagonR and Indigo CS. (Note: The Skoda I drove is 4-5 years old model, cheapest variant in its class and was being used as a taxi. So one shouldn’t keep too many expectations.) But vehicle is quite sturdy and stable. Even at 160-170 kmph there were no hesitation from the engine or vibration in the body. For 1300 kms it consumed over 81 litres of diesel, resulting in a highway average of nearly 16 kmpl, which is quite decent.(AC was used for may be just 10% of the drive-rest of the time we rolled down the windows and enjoyed the cool breeze of nature). Ground clearance was a bit poor, wiper and indicator controls were unconventional, similar to Ford.

A video if you're interested.

The rent was supposed to be Rs 4500 per day plus tax, but Hertz gave me a discount and charged me Rs 13014 (or Rs 4340 per day approx-not sure why I was given a discount-I think it is a corporate discount while JOJO feels it is because I returned the car in one piece!) Little more than 3067 Rs was spent on diesel, resulting in net expense of about Rs 12.4 per km, which is far cheaper than chauffeur driven rental option for 3 days/1300 kms for Skoda. All in all it proved to be a bit heavy on my pocket but as I said in the beginning, once in a while we need to indulge in what we enjoy doing, so I am not complaining.

I want to drive a Volvo bus next… Any rental company in this world giving me a B7R on self drive? Please let me know.

Few updates & some random pictures

Poll: The poll I ran to find out what kind of contents my readers like has given results which I had suspected. Majority of you liked personal observations and experience accounts, followed by Business posts. Thanks to each one of you for casting your vote.

Unable to comment? Send it by mail.

Many of you conveyed your inability to write comment here as blogger is blocked. In case you wish to write a comment but unable to, send a mail to admin at enidhi dot net. I will manually publish the comments.

I have created a twitter account sometime back. If you wish to follow me, you can do that here (Twitter is a micro-blogging platform where one can give quick updates about anything) (links to LinkedIn and orkut profiles are available in sidebar, if you’re interested)

The legendary Club Mahindra post, the most popular one so far in this blog, has scored 200 comments (includes about 80 comments from me, written in response to other comments). Last time when the post crossed 100+ comments I did an analysis of the comments [read that here]. That post didn’t receive much of response so not planning to analyze the comments again for 200 posts. Will consider at 250-300 comments

Even the quarterly summary of posts I used to do doesn’t appear to have any takers. Do you find it useful? I feel once in a month summary of posts, written on the same month, will be more appropriate, as this post will be available in the archive of same month. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome.

I feel the sidebar is getting crowded. Need to simplify the same by removing not so critical elements- which one do you think can be removed without a second thought?

May 22 will be 2nd anniversary of this blog. 3 weeks to go.

Installed second life client and logged in for the first time… Realized that it can be extremely addictive and time consuming, if taken seriously. Decided to stay away from it for now.

The mobile version of this blog was not working for sometime and is up now.(http://m.enidhi.net)

Bekal Fort Kerala-Photo Slideshow

Bekal Fort is a very beautiful place 16 kms from Kasargod in Kerala. It is biggest fort in Kerala and spreads over 40 acres.

The fort seem to be custom built to provide protection against sea attacks. You can see holes in port walls, built at various positions and angles, through with either cannons could be fired at enemey ships or hot oil can be poured against enemy soldiers trying to climp up against the port walls. Excellent defense strategy of those times, when air attacks were unknown...

There's no remains of any palace on the port- Quite a small area indeed for a palace. Just few constructions and gardens remain, with a temple below.

How to go to Bekal Fort?
If train timings are convenient go by train. Bekal station is very near to Bekal fort- you can probably walk or hire an auto.

Mangalore Airport is the nearest one. Adequate road transport is available from Kasargod and other towns in Kerala along NH 17.

How much time to spend at Bekal Fort?
You can walk around the port in few hours time-Add some more time to relax near sea shore and you can make it a half day program.

Carry an umbrella- there are not many places where you can take shelter if it rains.

Hundreds of movies have been shot at Bekal Fort, Manirathnam's Bombay was most significant one I guess.

Read more about History of Bekal Fort Bekal.com also has other related details you might need (accomodation etc)

Ganesha festival aftermath-photos of destruction

I spotted a huge Ganesha idol being taken out from Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad last Sunday. Apparently it was immersed in the lake after Ganesha Chaturthy festival and what you see below is aftermath of the festival.
Ganesha idol being dismantled
The idol was really huge, made from plaster of paris with steel reinforcement. The idol which was worshipped by hundreds of people for 7 odd days was being brutally destroyed by works who wanted to gain some scrap value out of it and clean the mess.

At first, what came to my mind was why can’t we reuse this component (Ganesha idol)? (IT influence you see!) I.e. why are we creating this idol every year, dispose them off few days later and re create from scratch again next year? After the festival why cant we preserve the idol and use it again next year? Will the annual maintenance expense (of preserving this idol for one year) be more expensive than new idol? I’m not sure.
Ganesha idol being dismantled
But on second thought, I realized that such a practice (of reusing the idol) would defeat the very purpose of having festivals. One of the main reasons why our ancestors designed the concept of festivals under various pretext is that money should circulate within the society. Ganesha idol being dismantled
Several sections of the society who make a living by selling products/services not so critical for day to day living (toy makers, artists, craftsmen etc) make money only during festival seasons when people buy their products/services due to festival. In other words, there’re people who make a living by selling Ganesha idol and such people need to be supported by the society by buying idols every year… So cost cutting strategies will have severe social implications here…

By afternoon they had got gas cutters on the spot and were almost done with their work...

There goes story of an idol...

Shrinidhi in ETV Show-Recorded video

Quick Summary: Shrinidhi Hande had participated in a television show in 2002 and you can see the video recording of that show and related details in this post. (if you have time read the related text, else scroll down to watch videos)
Clip 1

Background Information:
Shrinidhi Hande still photo from ETV KAnnada show
This was long overdue. Most of you might have seen my blogger profile picture and would have noticed ETV logo in the same and might be wondering if it is a digitally tampered image…Trust me, it is not. Way back in 2002, I had participated in a television show and this post is to share with you the recorded video of the same and related details.
Clip 2

What was this show?
The program was titled Yuva Chavadi (Kannada for: Youth forum (not exactly though-chavadi means a place where people gather together and discuss)) It is basically a debate show. One topic is selected and people speak for and against it. There is no winners as such. The host, Aparna consolidates the points and ends the discussion. This show used to get telecasted every Monday night 10 pm and a repeat telecast next Monday.
Clip 3

What did you speak?
The topic was “is population explosion a boon or bane?” Pretty common topic on which one would have written hundreds of essays and given lots of speeches since childhood. I choose to say “Population Explosion is not a curse and is in fact an asset”. Defending that was a challenge given that we’ve been made to believe population is a curse for this country.

Will publish English transcript soon.

About the video:
The program was for 30 mins. After deducting commercials etc, actual show was around 21 mins. Since you tube allows only 10 min max, I had to split the full video into 3 different files. (using Windows Movie Maker). But .wmv files are quite large and I'm having problem

How did you manage to get this opportunity?
Sequence of events that led to me participating in this show:

It was a Friday during Jan/Feb 2002, I was glancing through Prajavani, the then most popular Kannada daily in Karnataka (Now Vijaya Karnataka leads). There was a small article which invited interested individuals to apply for a debate show on ETV. I used to consider myself good at debates and speeches hence applied.

Few days later got a call to attend screening at Maharani Ammanni college Malleshwaram. I went there on the scheduled date and time, was asked to speak about population explosion, I spoke well and was told that result will be conveyed soon.

Few days later I got a message that I need to call one concerned person and eventually I was conveyed that I’ve been selected for the show and I need to go to Kanteerava Studio at Laggere, Bangalore for recording of the show. I was also asked to bring any one or two of my friends as audience.

After checking availability with couple of people, my JNVC classmate NR Bhat choose to join me. We traveled all the way to Laggere…and after waiting till evening, our turn came. I was participant in one of the episode and I also sat as an audience in one of the other episode.

The show was eventually telecasted during June 2002.

Did they give the CD containing the show? No. They didn’t even tell when it will be telecasted. I requested one of my relatives to record it for me.

You got any prize?
No. A gift voucher worth rs 250 which I could use to buy books at Sapna Book House. Plus free lunch and Rs 50 for conveyance.

What else?
I could have spoken with more clarity at the show, but couldn’t. Bit of excitement and that there was no chance to rehearse... It was great experience and lifetime memory to remember. Now sharing with you all…

Banglore's BMTC updates:
BMTC has recently launched Hosptal special services, besides several other services described in mu Kudo's BMTC post. The hospital service buses include beds as seats on which patients can sleep comfortably, curtains to windows to prevent dust, and these buses cover all major hospitals in Bangalore. Though those on emergency can't wait for these buses, they're good for those going for OPDs (Out Patient Departments).

Advertisements have started appearing even on doors now for Bangalore's Volvo city buses.

Endpoint Manipal

Manipal is a suburb of Udupi, a district headquarter in coastal Karnataka. Manipal is famous for educational institutions and Medicare. In fact the KMC hospital at Manipal is the ultimate place in 200 km radius where any doctor would refer his/her patients if the ailment can’t be cured locally.(ಮಣಿಪಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊ೦ಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಎ೦ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೇರೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೇ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯೋಚಿಸುವ೦ತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಮಣಿಪಾಲಕ್ಕೇ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು...) Syndicate Bank has its headquarters here in Manipal, and Manipal hosts huge number of educational institutions, including Manipal Institute of Technology and Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Cancer research institute etc.

End point is a beautiful place in Manipal where people go to spend their evenings. The name is synonymous with the fact that this location is at the edge of the hill (Not sure if I can call it a hill, just that Manipal city is located at an elevated position compared to its surrounding). The river below, beautiful hills in the vicinity makes it a pleasant experience to spend time at.

Below are some photos I took last month from endpoint (I mean photos of the surrounding area taken from endpoint). Hope you’ll enjoy them.

See the photo below carefully, you should be able to see a cat.
Oracle Hyd office!
What this cat was doing outside Oracle office? Was it trying to learn SQL query to search Milk or mouse database? Google Hyderabad office is only few meters away. It would have been a better idea to go there and simply search instead

Skanda Giri Hills-Bangalore-photos videos and tourist information

SkandaGiri Hills, also known as Kandavara betta or Karavara halli betta is a hill some 70 kms off Bangalore (Karnataka, India) near Chikballapur town. This place is not as famous as the nearby Nandi Hills and hardly any tourist information/ guidance/ facilities were available, both on net and with tourist department/agencies. (No more an issue as this post now tops search engine queries related to skanda giri hills, thanks to my readers).

First half of this post gives all related tourist information about this place and second half is my personal experience during the trek to Skanda betta: (Go to 2nd Half directly-Click here)

Part I: All possible Tourist Information on Skanda Giri hills: FAQs, Tips etc
1. How to reach Skandagiri betta?
Find this place on Wikimapia here (Navigate as you need)
To reach here you need to take Hyderabad highway from Bangalore. Reach Yelahanka (via Majestic -Sanky Tank- Mekhri circle - Hebbal or via outer ring road to Hebbal), proceed towards Hyderabad, travel some 40 kms (from Yelahanka) and you will reach Chikballapur town. From here you need to take a left turn to reach Papagni Math. Seek help from local people for exact directions. There's motorable road till Papagni Math, which is at the bottom of the Karavarahalli betta. You can park your vehicle here and start off. Its is around 70-80 kms from Majestic- So one hour would be ideal travel time from Bangalore city.

Alternatively, you can try this also: You'll see the hills from mainroad as you near Chikballapur town. So instead of going till Chikballapur city you make take a left turn somewhere, explore the land on your own, make your own road and reach the hill. (We did the same, found a good grape garden on the way)

3rd option: I'm told there's a motorable road from Nandi hills to this place. You may go to Nandi hills, spend time there and later take that road and reach here (take help from locals for guidance)

2. What is the best time / season to go Skanda Giri?: I'm told post rainy season is best time to increase the chances of seeing that lovely clouds you saw in first slide show.(Such clouds/fogs can be felt in high altitude during post rainy season (Say October through winter months till early Feb)Luck also plays a role. One the day of travel if the sky is clear you'll miss the fun.
3. Should we take anyone's permission to trek at Kandavara betta?
There's no official information on this. There'll be some forest guards around who may ask some questions. Take them into confidence.

Read about my another trekking expedition to AnantaGiri hills (A.P) here
4. Can we spend night there? (On top of the Skanda hill)?
Not recommended. There will be no aid available if something goes wrong. Lighting camp fire on top of the hill is also risky. Wind can easily cause a forest fire. Suggest not to plan a night out. Leave very early in the morning, you can reach there by 6-7am it will be good.
5. Safety aspects at Karavaralli betta
Carry first aid, lots of water. No help will be major available within 5-10 km radius. Cover your body with full sleeve dress etc.
6. Will it be too tough for ladies to climb?
No. They can join. There're spacious places on the way up where you can pause and take rest.
Shrinidhi Hande and friends resting for a while on top of Skanda giri hills
7. Should we hire a vehicle? Or Public transport is available?
Best go in personal vehicle. Cabs would charge minimal of 300 kms or so while total to and fro distance will be just around 150-200 kms. No public transport buses go near the hill, they drop you at Chikballapur town.

8. How much time it takes?
Travel time from Bangalore city to this place-90 mins approx. Time to climb: We started at around 10 AM and were down by around 3 pm (Including breaks and rests and lunch etc). If you plan well you can cover Both Nandi Hills and Skanda betta on Same day.
Hope this helps. Drop a comment if you need more info. I'll try to arrange. Leave your thoughts behind...

PART II- Experience Account

I received an email forward early 2007 with some interesting photos of this place which triggered my interest in the same. See slide show below:

I circulated a mail to my Bangalore based friends to check a possible outing to this place. After a month’s time, after irritating everyone with a picnic proposal more formal than a business proposal , the mission was accomplished with 8 enthusiastic participants, as detailed in the photo below
Shrinidhi Hande and friends leaving for Skanda Giri trekking
The team: From right to left: Jayasimha U, Giriraj B M , Venugopal G R , N R Bhat, Deviprasad Shetty, Subramanya A, Vishwanath. (Note: The eight person is Shrinidhi H, who is not in picture because he was taking this snap. We also clarify that the person with a cigarette in his hand, standing between yellow coin phone and yellow banana bunch, is not a part of the our team and his image is inserted by Google to promote a cigarette brand, as a part of its adsense program :)
Grape garden near skanda giri hills
Having enough bikes eliminated the need for renting a vehicle and we were on track almost on time. We finished breakfast at a restaurant near Yelahanka. Traffic was less and road was clear, soon we were far away from city. NR Bhat had done some research using Google Map and stopped us at a shortcut road which would take us to the hill. We had to call back Subramanya who had cruised several miles ahead on his Karizma. Taking guidance from villagers we reached the Papagni Math, at the bottom of the hill. (We also spent a few moments at a grapes garden on the way)

Couple of people from Forest department conducted a brief inquiry before giving us a business visa to the hill. We started off with an unconventional route and slowly but steadily reached the top of the hill in few hours time. We exhausted our water resources but the water melon we carried all the way quenched the thirst. There is a small water body on top of the hill but unfortunately we could not locate it. The sun and the wind were friendly and the uphill journey wasn’t that difficult. The view from top was beautiful.

All images I took with my Olympus FE 170 are below.

If you are facing trouble viewing the flash slideshow above, pls check here

We were down the hill by 3pm. We could have covered some more places before reaching home but everyone had different plans, so we departed after that.

This place can be made more tourist friendly by proving enough information and infrastructure (The nearby Nandi Hills is well maintained and far more popular). Not much info is available on net about this place. Chikballapur municipality has some info which can be found
here

My favourite video: ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನೀ ಬೇಗನೆ ಬಾರೋ....(krishna.. by Colonial Cousins)

Below is one of my favorite videos of all times.

I like the song and video because of the lyrics and the concept selected for the video. Was not able to get hold of the video for this song for quite a long time but recently found this song on YouTube

Note: Above video is supposed to be a copyrighted one, but was available publicly in YouTube (click here). Hence I assume the publishers of this video have obtained necessary permissions before posting this video on youTube.

Note: the phrase "Krishna Nee Begane Baro" in a Kannada means Krishna (refers to Lord Krishna), you please come quickly.

Full lyrics of this song can be found here:

Lesli Lewis and Hariharan are the artists behind this song. They are together known as colonial cousins. More about Colonial Cousins
