Do you like Pepsi?

Yesterday evening I tasted Pepsi for the first time and didn't like it at all.

Was trying some chat items at a stupid restaurant downtown Panjagutta (A place in Hyderabad) and Pepsi came along in the combo offer.

I'm wondering how Indra Nooyi and team managing billion dollar business selling an aerated drink like pepsi... I'll be thankful to anyone who have been drinking these drinks for long time and can answer these questions:

1. What is that you like in soft drinks? Sweetness/Taste/Chill/flavor ?
2. After drinking do you really feel refreshed/energetic?
3. Any improvements in your health after drinking them long term?
4. Why do you think people prefer these drinks in comparison with other juices/drinks of same price? Is it just advertisements and brand name? Or anything else?

In todays world it takes lots of guts to say I dont drink soft drinks. I'm just unable to figure out what value these drinks add... Please leave behind your thoughts...

yes i like pepsi, and i think i consume about half-liter a week on average. Mostly diet. I like it better than coke(diet). to answer ur questions,

1. What is that you like in soft drinks? Sweetness/Taste/Chill/flavour ?
-- dfntly not sweetness/taste. i'd go for the carbonation and sometimes flavor(diet has almost no flavor)

2. After drinking do you really feel refreshed/energetic?
-- no to both. But i feel easy inside in my stomach in settling food(digestion?) esp after pizza or heavy meal.

3. Any improvements in your health after drinking them long term?
-- improvements? i dont think will happen at all. These drinks contain some chemicals(keytoneurics) which are harmful in the long term. But hey, i'm an average joe in teh 6 billion and
can't resist small(guilty?) temptations.

4. Why do you think people prefer these drinks in comparision with other juices/drinks of same price? Is it just advertisements and brand name? Or anything else?
-- For me, its plain carbonation with a little flavor. I dont usually swing by ads, but not impervious altogether.

Hope my replies are useful. thx.

That was a pretty fast response. You would have left your identity behind...

These drinks contain phosphoric acid and have absolutely no contribution to health...

So basically people drink it for carbonation...

thanks for answering...

Its all the ad mania catching the audience. Majority of them drink pepsi/coke only because it is endorsed by celebrities

hey

i am another person who likes pepsi but only rarely get to drink it. is very imp that we control such temptations or else our health will definitely get affected.
And i dont think endorsing of products by filmstars makes any difference to majority of people.

And also the recent rumour of pepsi and menthos, when consumed together, killing the person is gripping the people through e-mail forwards.

Hope my comment is of any use.
