Sunflower fields near Mysore

-2020 update: Had to remove photos due to technical issue (site where I had uploaded them went down)- will try to restore -

I don’t get to take photo of a beautiful sunflower field everyday. Last time I stopped by a sunflower field was 3 years ago, somewhere near a village 100kms off Hyderabad.

After that, there’ve been occasions where I’d pass by a sunflower field. But as used to be in driver’s seat, I’d realize that we’ve crossed/neared a sunflower field little late and reluctant to slow down or take a u-turn, I would think I’ll stop near the next sunflower field and I’d never get one.

Recently we stopped near one such field, near Himavad Gopalaswamy betta, Gundlupete, some 100 kms from Mysuru town. Just sharing couple of photos for your eyes.

Villagers would insist that tourists who enter the fields/take pics give them money. Can’t quite complain because it’s their field and their desire of making a few rupees shouldn’t be termed wrong…

Next time while using sunflower oil, think of these beautiful flowers ;)
