After a gap of few years I managed to write a brief write up in Kannada and send it to a Kannada newspaper. Happy to see it got accepted for publication.
Please read below a Kannada write-up by me which got published in Today's (01 Feb 2009)
Vijaya Karnataka, Karnataka's number one daily, Page 2 of Sapthahika Vijaya supplement.

Click on the image to enlarge it. The write-up is about gender confusion surrounding the name Shrinidhi- I've written in detail about this in English here
in an earlier post.
My other articles which were published in Vijaya Karnataka can be read
here,
here and
here. Refer the sidebar for my other published articles.

Awesome! I don't know to read or understand Kannada.. but congrats!
Jennifer- Thanks
Guruve,
Anyway editor has trimmed down the length and changed the original title.. not that I'm complaining...
Congratulations Shrinidhi.
Thanks Mridula

Reply to your question:
I have never sent an article by email to Vijaya Karnataka- I always write in pen (not even print it) and send it by post. That is the traditional way of sending articles... You can send by mail also (ID in their newspaper). (My envelop weighed 22 gms instead of allowed 20 gms and I had to affix Rs 10 stamp instead of Rs 5...)
Another advice- Never send an already published article-that is like copy pasting. No newspaper likes that. At least clearly mention that it has been already published so that they'll know in advance. Write something new and send if possible. (In my case it was kind of Kannada translated version of an earlier article)
Thanks for the info and suggestion :)
You're welcome
Good read... till now I used to pronounce your surname as hanDe... D as in Docter :)
Prashanth...
Glad that u learnt it now..
Hi, ca you send me the email address of vk to where we can post articles?
hi. Contact details and email address can be found in appropriate pages in newspaper itself (Check vijayakarnataka epaper if you can't get hard copy)
I would recommended sending it by post than emailing it.
now I see it..
