Birds on the powerline

I had to test my newly acquired 55-300mm lens and was cycling around, looking for some birds to zoom on.

To my delight found an army of them-pelicans and painted storks sitting on a power line nearby. These are some pics

Though there were several lines, birds were particular about one specific line and were sitting neatly on them, as if commanded to do so. The sunset time provided nice background colour.

What you see above and below are the maximum I could Zoom in on. As you see, even 300mm is never enough

Happy that at least for these birds, power doesn't corrupt.
