Quick Review: Pullman Hotel, Kuala Lumpur City Centre

We spent 2 nights at the Pullman hotels and resorts, Bukit Bintang area in Kuala Lumpur.
This post is a quick review of what to expect at Pullman hotel.

Things I liked about Pullman hotel
Pool with coconut trees
Pool area has several coconut trees around, although with no coconuts on them- probably removed to avoid risk of them falling on a guest swimming. Pool area at level 10 is nice, breezy and because of towers all around, you can avoid harsh sunlight.
Spacious rooms with tubs
Rooms were spacious with all standard facilities.

Central location
Pullman Hotel is at the heart of Kuala Lumpur's shopping area and business district- Bukit Bitang- so many attractions, malls are within walking distance from here.

Great Interiors

Pullman is a good hotel but has two major shortfalls
1. Limited to No view.
Pullman hotel has two towers, but it is surrounded by larger buildings on almost all sides, which means you may not get a good view from the room- if that is important for you. My room had the view of the pool below, another room in the opposite side I checked had the view of a building under construction. When you're staying at a luxury hotel in Bukit Bitang area, a room with the view of twin tower or KL tower would be icing on the cake. Unfortunately Pullman misses out on this aspect.

2. Limited veg options at the Sedap restaurant
We had two breakfasts at Pullman. On day 1 the veg options were minimal- only cereals, fruits, some bread items etc. Staff offered to make a veg noodle soup but it was too bland and we didn't like it. Breakfast costs 69MYR per person (included in the room but I had a guest so I know). There was coconut rice, paratha and a few items but not good enough.

On day 2, they had some vada, paratha etc but no side dishes like chutney or sambar.

Note: This is about Pullman Kuala Lumpur city centre. They have one more hotel in Bangsar
